Being Grateful!

With Thanksgiving just around the corner, I thought I would post some great quotes from the “Crash the Chatterbox” book on Gratitude.   Hope these encourage you like they did me!

“Gratitude is thanking God in advance for what will only make sense in reverse.”

“How do you overcome discouragement? Through gratitude! There is always something to thank God for once you’ve made the decision to be a grateful person.”

“Having a grateful attitude in adversity isn’t living in denial; it’s choosing to see your situation from a higher vantage point.”

“Gratitude begins where our sense of entitlement ends. When entitlement is high, gratitude is low. When gratitude is high, entitlement is low.”

“I will not let the discouragement of what I’m going through make me forget the benefits of belonging to the God who has been so good to me. He has saved me, blessed me, forgiven me, restored me, satisfied me, healed me, crowned me and renewed me.”

Ladies, we have so much to be grateful for; I challenge you to find something to be thankful for each day as we approach Thanksgiving.   I believe that by focusing on the good things in your life, you can combat the discontentment and discouragement when life does not turn out how you expected! It does not come naturally for us to be grateful especially during hard times. However, I truly believe that it does change our focus and bring us to a place of joy that can only come from God. What do you have to be grateful for today?
