10 Bible Verses with a Personalized Prayer for Your Child

Praying Scripture over our kids is powerful. I have created 10 Bible Verses as well as a special prayer for your child.

I recommend inserting your child’s name on the line to personalize it!

(Note: Since I have two boys, I wrote them for my sons. However, if you have a daughter, I created a second version on my website. Both are available to download in my free resources library.)

Blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit. Jeremiah 17:7-8 (NLT)

God, I pray ___________ is like a deep-rooted tree who has put his hope and trust in You. I pray with each passing storm that his roots will grow deeper in You. The trials in life will not cause him to turn away, but instead, ___________ will develop depth and produce much fruit (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self-control).

I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength. Philippians 4:13 (BSB)

God, I pray ___________ remembers that with God’s strength he can do anything as he partners with Jesus.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6 (BSB)

God, I pray today that ___________ will trust You with all his heart even when he doesn’t understand. God direct his path as he leans on You!

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV)

God, I ask today that when ___________ begins to worry, you will remind him about this verse. With prayer and thanksgiving allow Him to turn his worries over to You in exchange for Your peace.

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. Psalms 139: 13-14 (NIV)

God, you knit my sweet ___________ in the womb. Please remind him how wonderfully made he is. He is unique, and You created him just the way he is. When he is tempted to compare, help him remember this truth.

Above are the first 5 verses! To receive all ten of them, please subscribe to my newsletter and you will receive an email with a link to my Free Resources Library. Like I said before, there is a version for both sons and daughters to download.
